2012 Grants Round is will open for applications on 1st DEC closing 31st DEC 2011

StreetSmart was established to support small, grassroots community based organisations with limited fundraising options or capacity.  We are able to fund both non-DGR and DGR organisations.  Our focus is the support of people who are at risk of homelessness, or who are currently homeless or are moving out of a situation of homelessness.  If you are a small organisation and are seeking funding then the information below will help you decide whether or not to apply.

We ask that larger organisations do not make applications as we have limited administrative capacity to handle large numbers of applications and our focus is to support smaller grassroots projects and organisations.

Applications for innovative ideas as well as your more mundane priority needs are considered. An outcomes focused approach, helping people exit homelessness and maintain housing, is encouraged. 

Please note: StreetSmart mostly supports communities where our participant restaurants raise funds so please look at the map. In a small number of circumstances, where the case is compelling, we may consider applications from outside these communities.

Our grants average $5000-6000, but we will consider a range of grants to suit your needs. Only if the case is compelling will larger grants be made.

Applications open 1st December 2011 and should be received no later than 5pm on 31st December 2011.  

Grants will be announced in April 2012.
