Restaurants Helping Bush Fire Victims

The scale of the destruction and devastation of the recent and ongoing Bush Fires in Victoria are hard to comprehend. It is our nations worst natural disaster and we are keen to help out.
StreetSmart has partnered with the Restaurant Industry and Restaurant & Catering Victoria on Valentines Night to raise funds and these will be used to support the survivors of the fires.
On Valentines Day, Saturday the 14th February we are asking diner’s to support the appeal. Restaurants throughout Victoria will ask you to leave a donation so look out and dig deep if asked.
An independent panel made up of community leaders and representatives will oversee the appeal fund's distribution. 100% of donations will be used to help bush fire victims. Our Grants Committee will work with local organisations on the ground to find how we can best assist.
With over 5000 people now homeless StreetSmart will be looking to direct funding into smaller community organizations who are on the ground in regional areas effected by this tragedy.
Our hearts go out to all those effected and we will do whatever we can to help as the months roll on.
