Lowenbrau Keller - Sydney

Lowenbrau Keller – Sydney are once again crowned our National Fundraising Champions – beating their own record from last year to raise $23,577.90 in the 6 weeks - showing the power of a great committed team, generous customers and loads of micro donations of $2. Awesome job everyone!

In NSW/ACT Café Sydney came a close 2nd with $16,761, another amazing result from Jan and her outstanding FOH team.

In Victoria Chin Chin again romped home raising a huge $17,214 beating their winning tally of last year – second were newbies Sake Melbourne raising $6952

In Queensland Bavarian Bier Cafe Brisbane topped the charts again, raising $8415, and Sake Brisbane running a close second with $7234.

This year we are also making additional Awards. The newly created '10 Year Club' recognizes those individuals or restaurants who have been involved with DineSmart for 10 or more years – that’s commitment for you! This year we acknowledge Martin Pirc from Punch Lane, Adam Cash from Union Dining and Simon Denton from Izakaya Den.

The winner this year of the Community Champion Award is Janna Szangolies from the Urban Purveyor Group who this year had 16 restaurants participating, all raising substantial funds. Through this award we recognise her commitment to StreetSmart and the impact she and her team has had for people who are homeless and the community.

Our Big Small Awards go to Pizza D’oh and Crabapple Kitchen.  These Awards recognise the efforts of smaller venues, both achieved BIG results for the size (no. of seats) of their venue.

StreetSmart is a fantastic team effort by all our restaurants and their staff who have proven that by everyone chipping in a little bit we can all have a real impact for people experiencing homelessness. THANKS EVERYONE.
