Involvement = Impact

At StreetSmart we believe that we can all do little things that help. Together those little actions make up to a better world.

We understand that many people, like us, want to work for stronger communities and a more tolerant, inclusive and compassionate society. We also understand it’s often difficult to find enough time to do the things that are important to us. So here are a number of ways you can help us out...

    • HAND IT ON - Get your favourite restaurant involved for 2010

    Would you like to see your favourite restaurant participate in this years ‘Dine Out… Help Out’ event? Here’s how you can help – download this information flyer and 'HAND IT ON' to them next time you are in or maybe just passing. It’s a very powerful message for the restaurants to have their customers encouraging their involvement. It’s a simple act with a big impact!   Restaurants and Cafes who have a friendly vibe, good staff, table service and an electronic till are the best places to approach.

    • Become a StreetSmart fundraising HERO

    Through Everyday Hero you can fund raise directly for StreetSmart. If you are taking part in a major event such as Run Melbourne or City to Surf etc. or just wanting to put on your own fundraiser then you can use the Everyday Hero site to help get your plans into action. Check out http://www.everydayhero.com.au/. Just let us know what you do and we'll spread the word. THANKS and GOOD LUCK

    We encourage direct donations year round to help support smaller agencies.  Your donations will go to fund innovative projects aswell as emergency services for people experiencing homelessness.  Donate online through our secure payment system and choose between a one off payment or a monthly commitment -see DONATE NOW button on this page - THANK YOU

    If you’d like your restaurant and your diners involved in the 2010 event please find all the information about joining here. Don’t forget to add some info to your website about your involvement, the dates 8th Nov – 24th Dec and our logo (download from our resources page). Thanks for getting involved!

    • Join us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, or view videos on You Tube

    Help to build our community of supporters by becoming a Fan on our Facebook page, post comments on our wall, help to recruit your friends to StreetSmart, join the conversation on twitter, and together we can take action against homelessness.

    • Tell your networks about StreetSmart

    The more people who know about us, the greater our impact on the homeless community. So please spread the word through your Social Networks, at work or just to your mates in the pub! Our Resources page contains downloads to help you spread the word.  Why not post our videos or send them to friends as a way to get them involved.
