I have some great news to share…. our 2009 Restaurant $2 event and other fundraising efforts have raised $351,410 supporting 84 small grassroots projects. This is up from $260,000 in 2008. This is an outstanding result that reflects the commitment of all those who support StreetSmart. Together we have now raised $1,180,000 since 2003 when we started this little idea to help support smaller grassroots homeless services. More importantly is that together we have supported 84 projects this year, making it 272 in total.

The donations that have flooded in from across the States in which we operate have now been allocated to support a variety of services for people who are homeless or are at risk. Your support has funded projects that range from buying play equipment for kids in a refuge, supporting meals programs to the most needy, supporting a footpath library bringing books and friendship to people on the street, to set up packs of essential items for people starting in transitional housing and many many more projects.
