Inspiring people

StreetSmart proudly funds our community’s unsung heroes, inspiring people who dedicate themselves to helping others in strife. This year, 35 StreetSmart grants were awarded, including to The Wayside Chapel in Sydney. Through our grant we are funding the Wayside to stay open and provide services on the public holidays in 2007.

Recently on ABC radio, Mark Trevorrow held the conversation hour with the Wayside's Pastor Graham Long. Pastor Long spoke about the work of the Wayside, his own journey, and that of Michael who was helped by the Wayside and who now works there.

It is a fascinating insight into this inspiring man and the iconic organisation founded by Ted Noffs that helps anyone that rocks in through their door. StreetSmart is proud to be supporting these people.
